Years slipped by like a whisper slow
Youth was here now where'd it go
Chasing stars we'd call our own
Now the night feels overgrown

Laughter tangled in winds of time
Echoes lost in life's uphill climb
Dreams we wore like second skin
Faded faint where to begin

Where did youth go left me blind
Lost its map can't rewind
Slipped through fingers like fine sand
Now I'm here with outstretched hands

Photographs are silent clues
Memories wrapped in worn-out shoes
Footprints leading far away
From the child I was that day

Time it steals like a clever thief
