Return to Solaris
Lyrics
Underneath the starlit gaze
Silent waves craft their maze
From the depths, the past takes form
Ghosts of mind in ocean storm
Solaris, sea of memory's play
Bringing forth the souls who stray
Eternal tides of grief and light
Shape the shadows of our night
Phantoms rise with the tide
Lost loves at my bedside
Each a mirror of silent pleas
Washing ashore old memories
Solaris, sea of memory's play
Bringing forth the souls who stray
Eternal tides of grief and light
Shape the shadows of our night
Haunting more than dreams at sea
Reflections of what used to be
Your waters sculpt our fears and pain
Visitors that remain
Story
Stanislaw Lem's ocean, the one that answers by dredging up your dead. In the novel they are called Visitors: lost loves at the bedside, each one a mirror of something never settled. That is where this band got its name.
